From 30th to 31st of March the Vienna Disc Golf Open will take place on the course of the Wiener Prater Disc Golf Parcours in the green heart of Vienna. This tournament is a PDGA B-Tier over 3 rounds with a 9 hole final. Additionally, we are planning a number of side events like CTP and an ACE-Pool.

General Information

  • Tournament field is limited to 72 players.
  • Tournament has four divisions: FPO, MPO, MPM, FJ18 and MJ18.
  • Field is divided by divisions:
    • FPO: 11 players
    • MPO/MPM: 42 players
    • FJ18: 4 Players
    • MJ18: 8 Players
  • 7 spots are reserved wild cards
  • Scorecards will be done with Disc Golf Metrix.
    • Each player must have a Metrix account to register.*

*Creating a Metrix account and using Metrix is free. Create an account here. (Players should make sure that their PDGA number is correct. Metrix checks the rating from the PDGA automatically when a player registers for an event.)

The Course

The tournament will be played on the Wiener Prater Disc Golf Parcours near the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in the 2nd district of Vienna.

The course in detail:

  • 18 holes total
  • 14 holes PAR 3
  • 3 holes PAR 4
  • 1 hole PAR 5

The course design will include special OBs, Hazards and Mandatories to make the course as fun and challenging as possible. Hole 18 is also an island.

The Headquarters & Catering

The tournament will be headquartered at Tennis Treff Oswald (TTO), where we will hold the players meetings and the winners ceremony.

Lunch menus will also be served at the headquarters. There will be 2 dishes to choose during the registration.

  • Saturday
    • Chicken pieces with mushroom sauce and noodles – € 7,90
    • Lentil stew with napkin dumpling – € 7,20
  • Sunday
    • Egg dumpling with green salad – € 7,20
    • Wiener Schnitzel with rice – € 8,20

The Side Events

We will have two side events during the tournament

  • CTP: traditionally on hole #2
    • for MPO/MJ18 and for FPO/FJ18
    • New Latitude 64 Luxury E3 Backpacks for each winner
  • Ace Pool for MPO/FPO
    • 100€ Ace Pool. For the case we have no winner we will donate the Ace Pool to a charitable organisation

  • 2nd Phase from 24.02. 12:00 – 28.03. 2019 12:00: open for all
  • MPO/FPO/MPM: 40€
  • MJ18/FJ18: 25€
